996 986 Speaker upgrade

Replace worn out speakers and improve the overall performance of your audio system with this simple coaxial speaker upgrade kit. (grills not included)

The Audison Prima APX 4 is a great affordable way to upgrade your 911 or Boxster's audio system without breaking the bank.  (Grills shown for illustration purposes only, you'll reuse your factory speaker grills)

1 Pair will work with front dash or rear side speaker locations on 996 coupe or cab, and in front dash locations of 986 Boxsters.

APX 4 features a concentric coaxial tweeter: with one single point of sound emission it is possible to obtain a consistent in-phase response, with consequent reconstruction of the acoustic scene comparable to a system of separate woofer + tweeter.
The 4″ cones surround features the exclusive shallow “Triple Wave” profile, for maximum excursion linearity.

Machined mid range speaker mounting plate

Our kit comes with a special mounting plate that has been designed specifically for the Audison speakers and your car. In the past mounting aftermarket speakers in Porsche factory grills has always been a time consuming task that requires lots of fabrication and modifications. This mounting kit eliminates all of the hassle. You can now bolt in a high quality 4" speaker.

Extensive Hardware 

This kit includes fancy Allen type mounting bolts, a drill bit for making pilot holes, and even the correct Allen key for the job.

Optional Porsche Speaker Adapters Are Available with This Kit.

996/986 OEM speaker adapters are an option that can be added to this kit so the factory Porsche wire harness in the car does not have to be cut and modified.
